APAX Software was founded by three University of Kentucky engineering students who turned a failed startup (a book exchange) into the spark for something bigger. Inspired by UK President Lee Todd's call to pursue entrepreneurship, they built a software consultancy grounded in a simple belief: technology should create outcomes, not just billable hours.
Since 2007, we've grown to serve 300+ clients across healthcare, equine, hospitality, government, education, and more. We've delivered over 91,000 development hours, earned a spot on the Inc. 5000, and co-founded Awesome Inc to support Kentucky's broader tech community.
